Meet Your Dental Experts
Thomas D. Schofield, DMD
Dr. Schofield arrived in Westford in 1996 to join Dr. Norbert Beck who had opened the practice in 1973. Dr. Schofield graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine before graduating from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1985. Following graduation, he completed the New England Medical Center/Fernald School for the Handicapped General Practice Residency and joined the Tufts Dental Faculty for five (5) years. In 1991, he was awarded a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Recently, he and his staff were recognized as one of the top dental practices in Best of Boston.
Dr. Tom, as he has been called by generations of patients, has resided in Westford since 1991 and has actively participated ni the Westford Community. While raising his family with his wife Tracy, he coached Town Baseball and Town Soccer, served on the Board of Westford Youth Soccer for six (6) years, and volunteered for the Buddy Werner Youth Ski Program which led him to try ski racing himself, joining the Westford Wedgers ski team. What he enjoys the most are the generations of patients who refer to him as a friend, not just their dentist. Dr. Tom and the entire staff welcome every patient as they would welcome friends and family.
Dr. Smagula
Jamie Smagula is a native of southern New Hampshire. He graduated from Tufts University with a B.S. in Biology and a Certificate in Community Health. In keeping with his interest in the health sciences, he attended Tufts University of Dental Medicine. Dr. Smagula is currently a member of the American Dental Society, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Merrimack Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Smagula joined the practice in 2005 - he strives to create a positive and comfortable dental environment. He feels it is a privilege to live and work in the same area, taking care of members of his community.
Outside of the office, Dr. Smagula’s free time is spent with family and friends. In particular, he enjoys coaching and watching his kids’ athletics, following the Patriots and Celtics, and hot - not warm - weather.
